RESONANCE | RITRATTI D'ARTISTA 2024
This project explored the relationship between vibration, movement, and embodied perception, inviting dancers to experience sound as both a physical and creative medium. Conceived as a live, immersive improvisational performance, the work activated a space of resonance where fifty participants responded in real time to sonic stimuli, translating internal sensation into movement.
Winter collaborated with movement artist Maria Rita Salvi to create a sculptural sound environment within the Chiesa di Sant’Andrea, Ascoli Piceno, Italy.
Vibrations from the installation guided the dancers’ improvisation, forming a living choreography that emerged organically through the interplay of sound, body, and spatial awareness.
Presented as part of the Ritratti d’Artista festival, the work brought together sound and live movement, using vibration as a physical stimulus that informed each dancer’s internal perception and shaped their external response in space.
