Emma Winter Studio works with a limited number of clients at any one time, allowing Winter to remain closely involved throughout each collaboration.
Commissions are shaped through close dialogue, bringing artistry, imagination and considered thinking to projects of different scales, durations and contexts.
HOW WE WORK
Each collaboration begins with conversation, exploring the context, intentions and possibilities of a project and identifying where Winter’s involvement can have the greatest impact.
Some commissions begin with the earliest seed of an idea, while others invite a new perspective into something already taking shape. From there, ideas evolve through research, experimentation and an intuitive process of development and refinement.
Commissions may take many forms, from individual artworks and interventions to environments, experiences and wider creative projects. Each is approached holistically, considering the relationship between concept, place, material, atmosphere and the people who will encounter it.
Winter remains closely involved throughout, working directly with clients and, where appropriate, alongside architects, designers, makers, artists and specialist teams to carry the creative vision through to its realisation.
The nature of each relationship is shaped around the work itself, allowing collaborations to be focused around a particular commission or to evolve over time.
